“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Summer School: Early Literary Theory 10

Featuring Kantian beauty, freedom, democracy, objects, ontology, P.M. Dawn, Art of Noise, the Amnesia Club in Ibiza, ecstasy tablets and more!

Somehow the recording cut out at a somewhat crucial point. I shall try to reconstruct what I lost there. It's all going to end up in Realist Magic. That was a good one.

To get to the next parts of the recording, by the way, you may need to hit the >> button on the left. In this case there are three.
